Peperomia prostrata is a climbing succulent plant native to the tropical regions of Latin America, in particular Brazil and Peru. It belongs to the Piperaceae family and is also known as " Peperomia string of turtles " due to the small heart-shaped leaves that resemble the shell of a turtle.

The leaves are bright green when young and darken as they grow, including silver or white variegation along the edges and on the surface, creating an eye-catching decorative effect. Peperomia prostrata is a plant that grows well in hanging pots or hanging baskets, as its hanging stems can reach a considerable length. It is popular as a houseplant due to its low maintenance and ability to adapt to moderate light conditions.

This plant has a fascinating and attractive appearance, it is particularly popular for its decorative appearance and for its ease of cultivation both in terrariums and at home. It is important to keep the soil moist but not too wet, avoiding water stagnation which could cause root rot. Furthermore, Peperomia prostrata likes moderate temperatures and can suffer if exposed to extreme temperatures.
