Paphiopedilum Deperle

Paphiopedilum Deperle is a genus of plants belonging to the large Orchid family ( Orchidaceae ) native to Asia and the Pacific Ocean. The Paphiopedilum , also known as Venus Slipper , is a magnificent, mostly terrestrial orchid. It is characterized by a stem up to 30 centimeters high and by ribbon-shaped and pointed leaves, of a more or less dark green colour. The flowers of the Pantofola di Venere are solitary, characterized by a sack-shaped labellum or "slipper", and take on colors ranging from white to yellow, from green to purple, from red to crimson. The leaves are also very decorative, they are long and slender and start directly from the rhizome. Only one flower blooms on one stem but it is large: up to 30 cm! It also remains on the plant for at least two months.
