Ficus sp. Panama

Ficus punctata sp. Panama , This small climbing or ground cover Ficus is native to Malaysia and is excellent for terrariums. The juvenile leaves are asymmetrical and about 1 cm wide and 2 cm long. They are dark green in color and the margin is hairy. In terrariums, this Ficus will only ever form young leaves.
The adult leaves are much larger, oval and have a very fine dotted pattern on the underside. Adult plants form large orange fruits.
This Ficus grows slower than many other small ground cover species and also takes a little longer to establish.
It grows firmly on almost any moist surface and forms a dense mat over time, however, it can easily be kept under control by pruning.
