Ceropegia woodii (heart necklace)

Ceropegia woodii , of the dogwood family (Apocynaceae) is a creeping succulent plant native to South Africa and Zimbabwe, where it often grows on cliffs and slopes in the bushveld.
The small heart-shaped leaves have white spots, which should reflect the scorching sun. It blooms with very strangely shaped small purple flowers, resembling a chandelier.
Ceropegia woodii is an easy plant to grow and should receive plenty of heat and light. A warm location with direct sun is ideal. The substrate should be airy, but can be watered regularly. Fertilization should be moderate, preferably at half strength once a month during the growing season.
