Begonia sp. Kalimantan (RARE)

Begonia sp. Kalimantan is an upright growing shrub species from the Kapuas Hulu area of ​​West Kalimantan in Indonesian Borneo.
Stems and petioles are deep red, this color is also seen in the primary veins where the leaves attach.
The lanceolate leaves are variable in thickness, width and colour, from silver with a broad chocolate brown margin to chocolate brown with grey-green spots. The leaf margin varies from nearly smooth to serrated to toothed, often changes with growth, and differs from one side of the leaf to the other.
It requires high humidity and is best grown in a terrarium.
Begonia sp. Kalimantan needs a peat-based composted substrate with added perlite.
