Begonia rajah is a species of begonia belonging to the Begoniaceae family, it is native to the south of the Malay peninsula and Sumatra.

It has round leaves, with wavy edges and deep veins shaded from light green to red, they can be covered with a thin hair that adds a satin shine to the surface. This begonia is appreciated above all for its foliage, which is a real focal point in ornamental cultivation.

It also produces flowers, which can be small and white or pink in color. Flowers may bloom in clusters on stems tall above the foliage. While the flowers are not the most eye-catching feature of this plant, they still add a touch of interest and can be present for a good part of the year.

Begonia rajah is a plant to be grown as a houseplant. Requires a bright but indirect location, with filtered or partially shaded sunlight. The soil should be well-drained and rich in organic matter, and ambient humidity should be kept moderately high.

This begonia can be an excellent choice for fans of exotic plants and those looking for an unusual and decorative houseplant.
